My experience with web browsers has been rather limited, however, over the years there have been several such as Earthlink, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, and Google. Personally, I prefer Google because it usually has the most direct link to what I'm looking for without a lot of "junk" to sift through and it always installs smoothly with no complications.
My Favorites is actually the only social bookmarking tool I have used. I have found Diigo to be an excellent way of storing my most frequent "favorites" that can be accessed easily yet not cluttering my computer.
Web browser add-ons add many different  features to enhance the browsing experience. For example, they add extra toolbars and pop-up ad blockers to your web browser.
I think this activity could fall under just about every ISTE standard because they align the use of technology with learning as well as  learning how to use technology.
